Caramelised Plums

Ingredients


200g Caster Sugar
Butter
6 Plums
½ Lemon
½ Orange
Large pot of Custard
Large pot of Cream

Method

  • Place a knob of butter and also the sugar into a small pan and heat over a small flame until a caramel is formed.
  • Prepare the plums by cutting them into halves and remove the stones.
  • Then add them to the pan making sure they are faced down and continue to heat for 5 minutes.
  • Next turn the plums over and add the juice of the lemon and orange to the pan.
  • Continue to heat for a further 2 minutes until the fruit is soft.
  • Then remove the pan from the heat and place the plums onto a plate to serve.
Serve with cream and custard.
